cantlie suites- Montreal
We will be staying at the Cantlie Suties in Montreal for one week in September. How is the location and are there any nice cafes or bistros in that area?
|
It's a great location, I pass there all the time. I'll have more time later to suggest restaurants.....
|
Stanjudy-it is a top notch location. you're near everything.

Post #25 on yearly search for mtl restaurants should give you lots of info; at the Cantlie, you will be near a lot of cafés and restaurants, the Ritz Carlton is closeby and has the duck pond area open at that time;
you will be within walking distance of a lot of good places. Chez Cora for breakfast is excellent, trying to remember what street it's on, Eggspectation at de la Montagne and de Maisonneuve is a good one also for late breakfast/brunch... |
Try Premiere Moisson which is just a couple of blocks from you to have breakfast or lunch;I "used" to go to eggspectation but will not anymore.
Go to Bistro On the Avenue-a local favourite on elegant Greene Avenue. Patisserie De Gascogne-237 Laurier Ouest tel: 490-0235 or the other location at 4825 Sherbrooke but I prefer the laurier location as it has more seating room. A place where many locals have gone & continue to go as the "smoked meat" is outstanding: Snowdon delicatessen on 5265 Decarie Blvd(my favourite for smoked meat, smoked fish-the BEST)where you will mainly meet only locals, Le Triskell for heavenly crepes on St. Denis |
