Can anyone suggest good accomodations in Canmore? We are a family of four, two adults, two young-teens. A pool would be nice (unless its too cold in July??) and we'd like to be in the MIDDLE of the activity (shops, restaurants, etc.)

THANKS in advance!

Try drakeinn.com. No pool but nice hot tub.

(Not the original poster)
We are making an overnight trip from my sister-in-law's to the Banff area in July, and she recommended that we stay at the Best Western there -- it's called the Pocaterra Inn, and it does sound really nice, with gas fireplaces in every room, and a glassed-in pool/water slide with mountain views. Her family has been there before and really liked it.

Thanks anne, Do you mind if i ask what you're paying, and is that in canadian or american? My first research is showing rates about $150 a night, which is a bit more then we wanted to pay.

Thanks in advance/

Hi, I'm the original poster on Canmore lodging. We have 3 nights booked at the Best Western Pocaterra Inn. I've heard good things about this lodging. The $150/night I believe is in Canadian dollars, which translates into a reasonable savings for us.
