Canadian Thanksgiving Long Weekend Roadtrip Ideas
Hi Guys,
I'm thinking of planning a roadtrip on the Canadian Thanksgiving long weekend that's coming up soon. I would like to get some ideas about where can we go to spend a few days. It would be me and my wife, we are in our late twenties. We have been living in Montreal, Canada for a few years now. We have done lots of the popular nearby trips Mont Tremblant, Quebec City etc. and the nearby cities. Considering the October weather when it starts to get a little chilly, not sure which destination would be a good choice. We are looking to spend a few relaxing days, maybe do some hiking/biking, get some good food, do a little sightseeing. Preferably a place not more than 4-5 hours drive from Montreal. Thanks! |
Toronto. Just as exciting as Montreal, in different ways. Plane/train/bus. Unfortunately the hotel rates are something of a challenge at this time of year.

Lake Placid is a charming village with all of your requirements...

have you visited Ottawa? Magog? The Charlevoix area? Burlington Vt? Woodstock Vt? Boston? The Maine coast? Realize that this is foliage season, so some places will be very busy.

Another vote for Toronto. Lovely time of year here. Lots walking opportunities and huge range of different cuisines.

Hi guys,
Thanks for your responses. I've already visited Toronto several times, also been to Boston and Ottawa. Some of the other options seem interesting, I'll explore them. Thanks for your responses. |
