Canadian budget airlines
 

Does anyone have experience of flying with either West Jet or Jets Go?
I might be flying between Toronto - Montreal, and these seem the best value.

Whilst I am here, has anyone used canadianaffair.com? Their fares to Toronto from UK seem very impressive. Too good to be true?

I only fly WestJet, if they offer a flight between Toronto and Montreal - take it. You won't be sorry.

I haven't flown Jetsgo but my sweetie used them a couple of times between Toronto and Victoria. He was quite pleased, and they are certainly a lot cheaper than Air Canada.

WestJet is just starting service from Toronto to Montreal and they are quite a reliable airline based out of Calgary. I wouldn't hesitate to fly them and recently did from Toronto to Calgary and back.

Westjet is the clear industry leader.

Jetsgo is new airline in 2003 (for Western Canada) and I flew them to Montreal and they were just as good as Westjet that day.

Zip is Air Canada's idea of how to do discount. A former WJ Manager defected to run it and for whatever reason, it walks, talks and stinks just like Air Canada. If you like that same level of indifferent customer service Canadians have been forced to take from the one true national airline, which was taught customer service from major Canadian Banks and a couple of national phone companies, fly ZIP.

Otherwise the other two are tops in my book.

Will be using Canadian Affair for the third time this summer. We have got a good deal from London Gatwick to Halifax.They use charter airlines and apparently the Thomas Cook planes, one of which we will be flying on this year have a better seat pitch than some scheduled lines. Both times we used them before planes were on time and service perfectly acceptable.

And thanks JanG for the reassurance about Canadian Affair. I'll be flying London-Montreal and returning Toronto-Manchester. For the grand sum of £179 (CAD$ 432). Can't believe my luck considering BA (who I work for!) and KLM wanted to charge me over well over double that.
