camping trip: Ontario-Quebec City-PEI-Cabot Trail or St Andrew's-Halifax

We are planning a camping trip, with a tent trailer this summer. We went 2 years ago, and had a fantastic time at PEI (avonlea, charlottetown), Bay of Fundy - Hopewell Rocks. This year we want to see a few of the same sights (PEI) and some new sights. We have 2 girls, ages 8 and 10. We are hoping to go whale watching and kayaking, take in some live music and go beach-combing and biking. We have 17 days total for this trip

We have the first part of our trip planned - drive from Ontario to Quebec city on our first day, then from there to Cavendish, PEI (my spouse has his heart set on returning to PEI to enjoy the beaches and some oysters!) Planning to stay at Cavendish for 5 days....then not sure whether to head to Cabot Trail or to Kerjimkujik National Park or to St Andrew's....hoping to take in Halifax as well - with a stop in Peggy's Cove. Any suggestions??
