Calgary day trip
I am attending a wedding in Calgary next August with family and have been given the task of organising a day/overnight trip for 12-14 people. I am thinking of Banff/Lake Louise and maybe Jasper. We could hire a couple of vehicles or maybe a mini bus. Any suggestions on a reasonable itinerary on a medium budget? All suggestions welcome. Thanks.

Hi Jazz1,
I guess it all depends on how long you're coming for. There's options for car rentals and mini bus rentals in the Banff area as well as in Calgary. You can also organize private tours for you group if you like having a local guide. Discover Banff Tour is an example in Banff of such a company.
Some definite highlights would include a day to the Lake Louise/Moraine Lake area, a day up to the Columbia Icefields and the Icefield parkway, a hiking trip into Johnston Canyon, highlights of the Banff and/or Japser townsites etc.

Both the Icefields and the Tyrellhttp://www.tyrrellmuseum.com/
offer one of a kind experiences. For the Tyrell, take hats water and sunscreen as its hot and dry.
