Butchart Gardens in October

We're going to Victoria about the third week in October. Is it worth going to Butchart Gardens at that time of year or is that too late to see any flowers?

That's pretty late for the autumn flowers.

But one of the things we have enjoyed doing is going in the late afternoon in Oct/Nov when it is starting to get dark (hopefully it's a bit rainy....they provide you with free umbrellas to use in the garden) and you will have the gardens to yourself, as nobody tends to go at that time of year. The smells are wonderful and they do have a wonderful lights display on the trees and flowers. You can have dinner out there at either the Blue Poppy Restaurant (which is cafeteria-style but still quite nice) or there is a fine-dining restaurant, which is very good.

So, yes it is worth it, but more for the experience rather than just for the flowers.

I hope that helps!

You won't be disappointed. The horticultural magicians work year round to keep the tourists coming...there is always something worth seeing.
