Bus or train between Montreal and Quebec City?

I'm hopefully planning to fly into Montreal this fall for a few nights and also a few in Quebec. I was just assuming that (not wanting to drive) one would take the train between them. However, I've read there is a slower more scenic highway between the two. I'm wondering if any buses take that route, or only take a more express route. Also, I realize I don't even know the names of the train and bus systems!

The second link is for one of the bus companies making the trip; there may be others. Note that you probably want to specify "centre-ville" for both arrival and departure dates on the bus. The train wants Central Station and Gare du palais as its stations. Bus will be cheaper; train can be more comfortable, particularly in the more expensive Business class. You might do one each way.

As I mentioned on the other thread, I think the buses all go on the more direct highway route between the two cities. The more scenic road mentioned was probably the Chemin du Roy on the northern shore of the St. Lawrence. It would be very hard to see without a car.

Vttraveler, thanks. Looks like I would need to plan on the train then.

Thanks for the help. I did get both my airfare and train booked over the weekend and am really looking forward to the trip.
