Can't think of any offhand, but definitely try Priceline. Got a great room at the Westin Castle Harbor right on the water for $90 a night. It was a four star hotel.

Yes Cindy, there are budget hotels in Toronto. If you can be more specific about your question I'm sure some of us can help you.

Hello again Cindy,
I often stay at the Comfort Suites on Dundas and Jarvis (a couple of blocks from Yonge). Go to their website and you'll get rates right in your range. The hotel is only a couple of years old, it is clean, comfortable, a few blocks from the subway and a really good deal! It even has an indoor pool and jacuzzi which are quite nice. Have fun on your trip.

The Strathcona and the Victoria come close to your requirements.

The Victoria is at the south end of Yonge Street, south of King. The Strathcona is on York Street, beside the Fairmont Royal York.

Prices in Toronto are all over the place, so negotiating seems to make a big difference.

The Choice hotels chain has several hotels that are central (John's suggestion is one of them) and the chain is worth checking out.

BAK

The Bond Place just a block east of Yonge and Dundas used to have very reasonable rates for a downtown hotel. I havn't checked lately but it's worth a look.
