Best place to eat in Little Italy - TORONTO
we realize there are great Italian restaurants elsewhere in the city, but we would like to visit Little Italy. Suggestions for great food (don't care about the atmosphere)?

Trattoria Giancarlo is on the corner of Clinton and College (41 Clinton). We went there on a trip to TO and it was awesome. The food was fantastic and they had a very large wine list (some of it looked expensive) The waiter asked us our wine budget and found us a great bottle. When we were leaving we saw Emeril Lagasse (famous TV Chef) sitting behind us eating. At that point we figured we had stumbled on to something really good. The menu is posted in the window so you can check it out before entering.

Lolly, what would be the price range for this restaurant?
And not being familiar with street names other than the major ones such as Bloor etc. where is it in relation to Ryerson?
My son is graduating with his masters from Ryerson in June and I would like to plan an excellent dinner of Italian to celebrate.

A Torontonian could probably help more with this but I believe the restaurant is north and west of Ryerson. It is about 5 blocks west of the corner of Bathurst and College. Entrees are $20 to $40. I think it would be a lovely post grad meal although probably not suitedfor a really large crowd.

Re Ryerson
Oro is a great Northern Italian restautrant that makes an excellent choice for a "espectable" special occasion.
Assume $100-150 per person. On Elm Street, almost at Bay.
Ryerson is, mostly, betweeen Gould and Gerrard Street, just east of Yonge.
Elm Street starts at Yonge, and runs west. It is about half way between Gould, which ends atg Yonge, and Gerrard, which crosses Yonge.
And it is one black from Yonge over to Oro.
Someone visiting the city recently went to Oro and reported back here that they really enjoyed it.
We use it for special guests.
