Hello Vanessa:
We found all the information about bed and breakfasts in the Atlntic Provinces on the official tourism websites for those provinces.
Nova Scotia www.gov.ns.ca
Prince Edward www.pe.ca/visitorsguide
New Brunswick www.tourismnbcanada.com

They also will make reservations for free.

We stayed at the Savoy Arms in Sackville 3 years ago. It was ok; the private bath was small, but the breakfast was fine.
In Cheticamp we stayed at motel that was set up for a good breafast. The rooms were very good and the dining area quite comfortable. It was the L'Auberge Doucet Inn. The Doucet family is of Acadian ancestry and they are bilingual -- English and French.
Thanks for the suggestions but for a variety of reasons we weren't able to use any of the B&Bs recommended. However, the provincial brochures were very helpful. We stayed at 5 B&Bs over a two week period in June and would recommend 4 of them.

We were looking for "twins" which really limited our selection. Plus we were really trying to keep our costs down, so that limited our selection even more.

Anyway, we were really pleased with:

>Annapolis Royal, NS -- English Oaks -- really nice people -- we paid $60 for a "suite" with 1 queen and 1 double -- full breakfast -- ranch style house on the river == http://www.holidayjunction.com/canada/ns/cns0025.html

>Sydney, NS -- Park Place B&B -- Victorian house all decorated with antiques -- $50 for a room with 2 single beds -- full breakfast included french toast and fresh baked muffins -- Ev and Lloyd are the owners and a very interesting couple == http://www.bbcanada.com/81.html

>Stanley Bridge, PEI (near Cavendish) -- The Smallmans -- nice older couple, -- $45 for a room with two single beds and a full breakfast -- it's a cottage rather eceltically (sp?) decorated but very clean and the owners are very nice -- their phone number is 902-886-2846 ==
http://www.icondata.com/smallman/

>Woodstock, NB -- The Foot of the Hill -- two storey home on the river -- $55 for a large room with 2 single beds with full breakfast -- phone # is 506-328-3585 or 1-888-354-4444 ==
http://www.bbcanada.com/bb_show_web_...m?htmlnum=1492

The friend I was travelling with had never stayed at a B&B before and was very pleased with the experience.

Note: the rates listed above are "off-season" and in Canadian funds.
I can't recommend the Duncreigan Country Inn highly enough. It's gorgeous, homey and serves wonderful dinners. There are cliffs nearby to hike (a state hiking trail, very nicely maintained), and good pubs but the whole place is very rural feeling. Best place I ever stayed.

http://www.auracom.com/~mulldci/
