Barrens at Bay - near Guysborough
hello,
does anyone have a review of the cottages at Barrens at Bay near Guysborough in NS? Or even if you don't know those cottages specifically, Is that a good location to have a quiet/scenic getaway? thanks! |
Quite, scenic - definitely. Guysborough is pristine. Not a lot to do or see, but if you want to relax, this is the place. Spent my summers there.
If you are looking for a spot to relax, friends of mine have a cottage they rent out close to Liscomb Lodge near Sherbrooke Village. It is directly on the ocean. Good hiking trails near by, the village of Antigonish is a 1/2 hour drive and Sherbrooke itself has an interpretative village. It is called Wilson's Cove cottage rentals. Clean and if the owner is around, he might even take you out on his boat. Call David at 752-7665 for further info. |

The cottages at Barrens at Bay are very nice and we recommend them to travellers looking for cottage accommodations in our area. The region is very quiet and scenic with lots to see and do along Chedabucto Bay, the largest bay on the Nova Scotia Atlantic coast. These cottages are absolutely lovely. We stayed there three times. The owners are very nice, too. They own a property on a lake. You can hike out there from your cottage and on the lake take their rowboat.
