Banff restaurants? nightlife?

I'm going to Banff in February for 5 days. What restaurants would you recommend in Banff? Also, what does Banff offer in terms of nightlife?

A lot of the temporary workers for the ski hills stay in Banff (if they can afford it) plus the well-heeled athletic young(?!) tourists so the night life there is pretty good.

It has all the usual restaurants - Hard Rock, The Keg, etc. For plain old eating, I liked the one done up as an old 50's chrome diner with big burgers; JOE BFLSTK or something...

Lots of good chioces in Banff for restaurants, but my favourite is the Grizzly House...its right on the main drag. Great food (maybe a little pricey, but not excessive), but the atmosphere and service is awesome. the nightlife is good at most of the pubs and taverns there; we usually stuck with Wild Bill's.

Enjoy!

Oh, and the Italian place on Main St. is called "Giorgio's". It is very good also.

Whatever you do, *avoid* Le Beaujolais if you're not fond of food poisoning. It's allegedly a AAA four-diamond restaurant, but the food is awful, overpriced, and I've never been so sick in my life as after I ate there. Banff has plenty of great restaurants (I second the recommendation above for Giorgio's), so steer clear from Le Beaujolais...
