Hi Traveler - Even tho I live in S. Alberta, I seldom travel to Banff/Jasper. Look up some of the prior posts regarding this site and look for Bob Brown's email address (I hope he doesn't hate me for this). He is a US citizen that has travelled extensively in this area and stays in a lot of the resorts in Banff/Jasper. Most of us who live is S. AB. tend to stay away from Banff/Jasper because of the tourist crowds and we head to the Crowsnest Pass in Alberta, the Kanaskis, etc. Areas that are equally lovely but not so congested with traffic from other countries. Not that I am complaining about other countries visiting but of course, we have our places to visit that are less busy.

The Crowsnest does not have as many truly magnificent sights as Banff/Jasper but has some wonderful scenes and unique areas as well. (i.e., Frank Slide)

Anyway, to make a long story longer as I have just done, look up Bob Brown and email him with my regrets for imposing. He seems to know the most about this area.
