For what it's worth, I can only give my impressions based loosely on location.

Markham House is a fair distance out of town. What do you want to be doing in Victoria - sight-seeing, hiking, resting & relaxing? If you plan to spend a fair bit of time in downtown Victoria, I think I'd skip this one. (I find the drive through the ugly car-lot/strip mall area off-putting.) If not, it might be fine.

Annalea's - not sure of exact location but not my favourite area.

Earle Clark House - where is it?

Medana Grove, Ryans and the Anderson House are all in James Bay which is handy if you want to walk into town, to the museum or park. Medana Grove is closest to the park. You wouldn't need to take a car to town from this area. Bus service is reasonably frequent.

Beowulf Farm is apparently in the Blenkinsop valley - a great bird watching area with trails and Mt. Douglas nearby, and not all that far out of town by car. It might be interesting to stay on a horse farm, although I don't know how charming the rooms would be.

Maybe someone else has actually stayed at one of these places.
