Maybe merck is a new name for that hornet poster who hates Toronto and thinks that the food courts in the Eaton Centre are haute cuisine.

Personally, I love Honest Ed's. I grew up around the corner, still work in the neighbourhood and still frequent the store.

Toronto: Just named/recognized as "The most miserable city in Canada"

(admittedly, per the ratings, that didn't amount to it being very 'miserable' on the grand scale at all)

Least miserable city in Canada: Sherbrooke, QC

Here's a link to the study that concluded Toronto was the most miserable http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/yahoocana..._canada__study. Who dreams up this nonsense?

I guess "slum" means different things to different people - last summer a newly-built slum dwelling in the heart of Kensington Market had a price tag of $750,000+.
