Aug 3 Fireworks seen from V Island?

I've been reading about these fireworks and would love to see them. But as we will have just arrived in Vancouver Island on Aug 2, it's crazy to go back to Vancouver the next day! Is there anywhere we can see them from the island?

No.

Yes ... on TV. :-)

Vancouver is about 30 km from Vancouver Island.

Assuming you are "talking" about August 4th fireworks in the inner harbor? I was there a few years back to see the fireworks/Symphany Splash across the harbor. My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary dinner at the Ocean Point Resort. Had a perfect view from the dining room/restaurant. Another year we were staying at the Empress Hotel to watch. If you can find a seat outside in front patio you can see the fireworks amongst the huge crowds of people. You can watch the fireworks on large expanse of lawn right in front of the Parliment Bldg. Enjoy.

Coco

Just so nobody's confused, the fireworks Coco's talking about in Victoria are completely different from the Celebration of Light fireworks competition in Vancouver.

If you were to stand on the beach in downtown Vancouver and look west, the mountains in the distance across the water is Vancouver Island. It's WAY too far to see anything... and Victoria's south-west of Vancouver on the wrong side of the island. Once you get here you'll realize how far these distances are. ;)

Thanks for the replies. I wasn't thinking, then realised how silly my question is when I looked at the map!
