Anyone know of any lobster church suppers between May 24 and June 2?

Hello. This will be our first trip to NS. Other than flying into and out of Halifax, our plans are flexible. We want to see the Eastern shore, Cape Breton, and maybe Fundy Bay area for the tides. I have read about church suppers and they sound like fun. (and a good deal!) Is it rude for non-locals to go? Anyone know of any scheduled while we are there? Thanks much for any info.

I'm pretty certain they expect non-locals to attend

This is last year's info but maybe you could subscribe to it to find out what's going on this year: http://www.shoreclub.ca/dances/schedule.html

And there's this: http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic...va_Scotia.html

Your best bet might be to check the local newspaper of the town you are visiting the day you arrive. We just left the South Shore (Lunenburg/Bridgewater/Mahone Bay) and the Announcement section of the Progress Enterprise had 22 (!) different church ( and service club)suppers/breakfasts/teas and lunches listed for the week we were there.

Hey, we went to the Shore Club for one of their lobster suppers last summer and it was great! Unfortunately, we weren't able to get to one of their Saturday night dances, but I would have loved that.

Also try the Nova Scotia tourism website - http://novascotia.com/en/home/whatto...s/default.aspx

enter "lobster" in the keyword field or search the "food" category.

Lobster church suppers are the best!

Have a wonderful time!
