Anybody fly Thomas Cook to Europe?

Anybody ever used Thomas Cook to fly from Canada to Europe? How was it? I understand they are a charter company?

We used Thomas Cook to fly from Gatwick to Halifax NS and back last year. Nothing but praise for the company the amount of legroom was amazing, better than any scheduled airline in economy class. We booked through Canadian Affair and got what we thought was an excellent deal pricewise, think you can use them to book from Canada just check out their website. Hope this helps.

Thanks JanG. So, do the planes actually say "Thomas Cook" on them, or do you use some other airline? What happens if your flight is cancelled? Do they have other ones to put you on? I heard about them on eurotrip.com, and they do have good prices!

Yes the planes do have 'Thomas Cook' on the side of them. Not sure what happens if a flight is cancelled but the number of flights they do to Canada is fairly extensive so I guess they could get you on another flight if that happened. Do check out Canadian Affair for their prices I know last year they were cheaper than booking direct with the airline.

But which airline operates the flights? There is no "Thomas Cook" airline operating out of Canada as far as I know.

Thomas Cook are a charter airline and operate flights out of Gatwick Glasgow,Manchester and a couple of other cities in the UK. It is possible to book the flights from the UK to Canada and vice versa, just check out Canadian Affair , (and no I do not work for the company, just think they give excellent value for money when it comes to flights to Canada, I personally have used them on three occasions to book flights and no complaints at all).

We flew with Thomas Cook to England last summer (from Ottawa) and everything was superb.
The aircraft was suprisingly roomy and the service exemplary.
We used Canadian Affair to book the flights and these were far and away the best price - much better than Zoom.
