Alberta Icefield Chalet Rooms?

Anyone stayed here would like to know what the rooms are like, we are planning on staying one night in a deluxe room June 27/03. Thank you.

I have not stayed there, but last summer I was curious about the place, so i looked into some of the rooms.
The rooms are nice, I thought. They are fairly spacious and the glacier view rooms have a good position for looking at the glacier.

You must realize, however, that the hotel is somewhat unconventional. The rooms are upstairs over the Icefields Center visitor area. You will be separated from the visitors in your room, but you do not park at the front door so to speak.

Are there other lodging alternatives between Lake Louise and the Icefields? Susan

There is a motel at a place called the Crossing that is located where the David Thompson Highway comes in from the east.
The Crossing has a gas station, gift shop, restaurant, and a motel.

There is also the Num ti jah Lodge which is at Bow Lake. It is more expensive than the Crossing.

We spent the night at the Crossing several years ago. The rooms were a little small I thought, but comfortable.

The facility is located about 80 K or 50 miles from Lake Louise. I think you can drive it in about an hour, or less if you don't stop.
The Num ti Jah is about halfway between Lake Louise and The Crossing.

There is no other place I know of other than camp grounds and youth hostles beween Lake Louise and the Icefields Center.
