alaska and British Columbia
We are planning a 2 week trip next spring. We would like to include in the first week Northern California and the Pacific Northwest. The second week we would like to included Alaska and British Columbia. Any suggestions regarding an itinerary?
Thanks! |
Sorry but two weeks is simply not enough time for northern California, someplace in the Pacific NW, British Colombia an Alaska.
Now -- you could> manage San Francisco, Seattle and/or Portland, Victoria and/or Vancouver, and/or Anchorage in a rushed two weeks. But my guess is you didn't mean just cities and flying in between. Just Northern California (SF, some of the coast, the Redwoods and maybe a day or two in the Napa/Sonoma wine region would be a VERY rushed week. Same w/ Seattle, some scenic bits in Washington state, and maybe a day or two in Victoria or Vancouver -- really REALLY rushed in one week. A 1-week cruise to Alaska up the inside passage would be a possibility, but that only gives you a week for everything else. The places you want to visit are enormous (especially Alaska) so you really need to pare down your wish list, cut the number of destinations - or increase the trip's length. |
ps: you also might want to post on the United States forum.
OOPS -- sorry about all the italics in my first post . . . |
yeah, if you meant 2 months, i could propose a great itinerary. with the places you've named, you could drive to all of them and have your vacation from inside the car.
with 2 weeks...pick northern california and pacific northwest or bc or alaska |
I agree, except w/ just two weeks I'd actually choose:
northern california OR the pacific northwest or bc or alaska |
I agree - two weeks would possibly be enough for Vancouver and the near islands.

I don't think the OP's question was serious -- posted and never returned.
