Afternoon Tea in Toronto
Can someone suggest the best place for me to have afternoon tea in Toronto?
|
I know the following places serve afternoon tea but I am not sure what is best:
Meridien King Edward Hotel
Windsor Arms Hotel

I believe the following still do but check:
Four Seasons Hotel
Arcadian Court in The Bay department store on Queen St.

There is a small place on Queen St West which everyone raved about but I cannoit remember thename. I believe it had tea in its name.

A great place for drinks, since its food is pricy and not that great is PANORAMA on Bay/Bloor streets in the manulife centre at the 51st floor... breathtaking view of the city...
Actually if you go to www.toronto.com, there's a linkto webcam from that restaurant.

Royal York Hotel used to (hope still does) themost amazing afternoon tea English style - from memory - compote of fruit, crumpets and honey, tiny cucumber /smoked salmon/ham sandwiches, scones and jam and clotted cream, and petits fours - plus huge pot of tea !!
Four Season, King Edward Hotel and Windsor Arms are the nicest with Windsor Arms being the prettiest and most charming. Reservations for any of these are a must.

The Starbucks on Grande is nice and they have the best little cookies. Tim Horton's also has very nice Apple Fritters. Yum

The Windsor Arms! Cozy and yummy. Just what afternoon tea should be. They give you three choices depending on what you feel like - tea, scones and jam; tea, scones, jam, sandwiches and petit fours; or the deluxe - the latter with sherry - woohoo! Smashing darling! ;)
