We have tickets for the Olypics Alpine events and I am looking for accomodation fro 2 people from February 12 to Febuary 19th (7 nights). Prefer B&B or studio. Any help would be appreciated.

Here is a starting place.
http://www.whistler.com/ Good luck. PS. Bring proof of booking with you. Apparantly police will not let you onto highway 99 without proof. Bussing will probably prove to be a better option anyway. Please report back with what you find. |
Here is the "official" vancouver 2010 site's accomodation page, with tips for finding accommodation and a link to the official accomodation finder:

good luck. going to be pretty tough at this late date to get good accommodations. it will be extremely expensive as i'm sure you are aware.

I found a condo during the Olympics through alluradirect.com, which is a vacation rental by owner website I've used before for Whistler ski trips. I just looked and they still have quite a bit of availability during the Olympics, but of course I don't know when you're going to be there or how big a place you need. I too have alpine events tickets and I am THRILLED I found a place through alluradirect--I must have gotten 40 "no vacancy" emails from hotels and condo owners I constacted through VRBO.
FYI--there's no Y in Whistler. |
Oh you mentioned b and b's--I contacted those in Whistler too, and the ones that bothered to respond either wanted me to book it for the entire Olympic period, or they wanted me to book the whole place.
