About Niagara Falls
Hello to all.
We are planning a trip of three people to Canada and we are very interested in visiting the Niagara Falls. It turns out that one of us may not have a valid American VISA and we are wondering if such is necesary. My question is simple: Is the American side of Niagara Falls is a "must-see"? |
You can see both the American Falls and the Horseshoe Falls from the Canadian side.

Not really a lot on the American side, much more to see and do on the Canadian side.

Yup, don't bother going over the American side - it's a disappointment after the Canadian side.
If you have time, take the Maid of the Mist boat tour. Get there earlier before the crowds start. |
I enjoy the walk over to the american side for a different perspective on the falls, but we go yearly so we have the time to explore everything. I wouldn't worry about going over on this trip, just enjoy from the Canada side and maybe someday you could check it out, but it's not necessary.

I have been to Niagara Falls many times. I always stay on the Canadian side. We take a walk over the bridge to the American side, but there is not much to do. If you do walk over, don't forget your passport.

You know we just walked over the bridge on Saturday to visit the NY side and I really don't think it's a major disappointment. I forgot how much I love it on that side. You get to see the falls close up without tons of people hoarding about. I love it over there. :)
