45th Birthday Getaway
Hi,
I am looking to do something for my 45th birthday, which is on Canada's Day . You would think it's great having a birthday on this day but I find it hard to enjoy as friends go away with family to their cottages, or have other plans and I usually don't end up doing much. I end up feeling stressed and anxious about it as I would like to do something fun and different that I normally wouldn't do on a typical day! I was thinking of going to a holistic/wellness type of place and came across a few options. I looked at Grails Springs in Bancroft but some of the reviews left me feeling hesitant. I also considered St. Anne's Spa in Grafton but a friend wants to go in mid-August to celebrate our birthdays together as her's is in September. I thought of going twice, once on my own for my birthday and then again in August with my friend but thought of trying something else. Also, prices have gone up immensely since I first visited St. Anne's several years ago and I don't know if I want to spend that much. However, it's an option.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
Thank
*Sorry for the second post. I forgot to tag Ontario.

I may forget going twice to St. Anne's as it has gone up significantly! It's app. $560/night pp. Wow! I would be paying over $1000 for two nights! That's insane. Just my thoughts. I can't afford this so I will have to look at something more affordable.

Thanks. I will check out Scandinave in Collingwood. I haven't heard about the one in Whistler but should have a look! What is it called? It would be nice to go to BC but it all depends how much flight cost is as flights in Canada can be $$$.
Have you heard of Grails Springs in Bancroft?

I just checked the Wakefield Mill and Spa and it is fully booked for your dates. Unfortunately you might be too late to book in Canada since it is Canada Day. Wakefield is only about 40 minutes from Ottawa in Quebec and the hotel and location are lovely. . Sorry couldn't help.
