in answer to #2 and 3
wonder along Queen St west of university Ave - lots of interesting stores and restaurants
if you want some culture - walk a couple of blocks north to The Art Gallery of Ontario on Dundas St. If you like museums, check out The ROM (Royal Ontario Museum) on University Ave just south of Bloor St, wander along Bloor , lots of Restaurants

I agree with the previous response. Lots of restaurants along Queen Street West, also King Street west, which is the 'entertainment district'. There are 2 theatres (Princess of Wales and the Royal Alex) along King west. Also the Skydome is just south - the Jays may be in town (and they're actually playing pretty good these days!). The Danforth is also great for restaurants - mostly Greek, but others as well. It's a very lively area during the evening. College Street west is Little Italy - lots of good restaurants there are well. All of these areas are close to downtown.

Kathy - would love to help but need a bit more info please!

How much do you want to spend on a hotel? What do you like to eat/how much do you want to spend on a meal? Have you searched this site? There are lots of great postings - try "Hotels" and "Restaurants" in the "Ontario" search engine.

Agree with JMM's suggestions, plus would add the following:

- Theatre - Lion King/Mamma Mia playing now
- Blue Jays game
- Yorkville area for shopping/people watching
- if you like Farmers' Markets would suggest St. Lawrence Market on Saturday morning (Downtown - Front and Jarvis Streets) and Kensington Market (very near downtown - Dundas and Spadina area).

Check out www.toronto.com as well - lots of good links there, and post more info for suggestions.

Kathy, search for "Toronto Trip Report" and you'll get my review of the Hilton and a couple of restaurants we really liked.
