10 hours in Toronto

I will be in Ontario for a business trip and will only have one day to spend in Toronto (departure time is around 8:30pm). Any must see or must do? The only thing I have in mind is the CN Tower at this point.

Also, how is traffic from downtown Toronto to Pearson International Airport on a Saturday evening?

Any suggestions would greatly appreciated!

Toronto is the #1 city in the world for diversity so I would start my Saturday at the St Lawrence Market wandering the buildings and stalls seeking out a bacon sandwich and hot coffee followed by some home baked goodies and possible souvenirs...

...following that, head up the CN Tower and then walk through the Entertainment district to funky Queen St W. toward ChinaTown... that fills most of the morning...

If you get hungry, cab up to Yorkville, where there are several bistro and high end shopping choices...

If you are a museum person, the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) is right around the corner as well as the Bata shoe museum...

An alternate choice on a beautiful day would be to head to the waterfront at Queens Quay, wander the area, perhaps take a ferry ride to Toronto islands or a Toronto Hippo Tour from Front Street (after the CN Tower)

If you are a Theatre person, consider a Broadway show Sat Matinee followed by an early dinner on King St...

Lots of choices, but weather and your interests may play a big part in your day... traffic on Saturday is much lighter than weekday rush hour, but check for events ... have fun!

If you have any interest in hockey, visit the Hockey Hall of Fame. It is within walking distance of the train station and the CN Tower. http://www.hhof.com/

Thanks for all the suggestions! I think I will head to the Royal Ontario Museum and the St Lawrence Market after CN Tower. And just hang around there before my flight.

Not sure where your destination is from Pearson International but be sure to leave yourself lots of time. Traffic shouldn't be too bad on a Saturday but one never knows!
