1 Way to avoid Pearson Airport Chaos

Some would-be passengers to the U.S. from Toronto have been in line at the airport for seven hours - even some with children. Insane. Tonight on tv tho they showed that Porter airlines flying out of the downtown island airport is checking people thru in the usual 7 minutes, and obeying all the rules too. I read that if the flights do not leave their gate on time, they lose their landing slot at any u.s. airport and the flight is cancelled - as 120 were Sunday. So many people wait and wait at Pearson and then have no flight to board. Luckily Porter serves NY, Chicago, Boston and a couple of other destinations. The crazies have succeeded in making air travel nearly impossible.

I know a few people who have flown Porter and they love it. If I were flying to the US, I might consider it.

I still fly out of Buffalo whenever I can. It's so much easier. It's a small airport, and after crossing the border in the car, it's then a domestic flight.

Buffalo probably is handy for people who live close to it. But for those of us in downtown Toronto, Porter is definitely a contender.

Porter is my first choice if they're going where I'm going. It's like the good old days of flying. You get the feeling they actually like you and want your business. Incredible, isn't it?
