Sydney North Shore Dec/Jan accomodation needed

Jump to last reply

We are hoping to spend 8 or 10 weeks in Sydney - mid November to late January, or thereabouts - near family who live in Roseville, on the Upper North Shore of Sydney.

Obviously this is a popular time, but as our grand-daughter will have long holidays then, we'd like to spend as much time with her as possible.

Our first choice would be a house exchange, as we have a lovely 18th century property in the Dordogne, south-west France.

I've joined several sites, and so far haven't managed to find anyone. Winter in the Dordogne isn't as appealing as summer.

So we are also looking at renting. Having checked several holiday rental sites, (,
I've seen lots of very expensive properties on Sydney Harbour. THrough other sites I've come across apartments used for relocating employees, often in huge apartment complexes.

What we really want is a small, not too expensive place where we could spend several months.

Does anyone know of a place, or could suggest sites that might provide this type of accommodation?
