We bought Opal cards at the airport and used them to get the train to and from CQ and also for the ferries to Manly etc. I think we loaded up wit $50 which was enough for a return trip to/from the airport. One way cost $18. https://www.opal.com.au

Depends on the time of day & traffic. Probably about $40-$50.
If you’re travelling alone, don’t have a pile of luggage &stayijg fairly close to Circular Quay, the train is the best option. Two or more, better to take a cab.
