Proposed itinerary- comments please!

Would appreciate comments on proposed itinerary for Nov (or Dec?) 2016. A few constraints:

-- trip is around 14-16 days

-- fly into/out of Auckland

-- planes, trains, buses- whatever makes sense- no driving

-- don't want to change places/hotels too often, prefer several days each location and day-trip from there.

Fly into Auckland, connect to Queenstown (figuring we would fly south right off and work our way north- unless at this time of year we should go north to south...)

Queenstown- 4 nights. (Includes day trip via bus tour to Milford Sound)

Fly to Christchurch. 3-4 nights to see town and surrounding sights, via local bus or bus tour.

Fly to Rotorua. 4 nights. Day trips to see the glow worms, and Lake Taupo, and enjoy the sights in Rotorua.

Bus to Auckland. 3 nights. See the city and surrounding area.

I realize there's a lot of ground to cover, but this would show us the highlights. A lot of short flights but easier on us vs long bus trips. Thoughts?
