Prince Williams visit
Ha Guys, Rumors running around Prince William and Wife to be Kate Middleton will be honeymooning on Lizard Island sometime late in May. Heard from usually reliable contact, Daintree Air Services a Cairns air charter identity has been engaged to conduct air transfers between Cairns and the Island for the entire entourage. Emailed Daintree Air Services and have had no help at all and Lizard Island is hush hush. Can anyone lay a little light on the subject?

No idea, but heard on TV news tonight that British papers are tipping Lizard Island, Jordan or Greece. William was here in FNQ a few weeks ago, visiting cyclone stricken areas a fair way south of Lizard Island, which was not affected by Cyclone Yasi.

If they were going to Lizard Island, I hardly think anyone associated with it or Daintree Air would be likely to discuss it, Nywcinc. Apart from the fact that it would be a gross breach of security & privacy of the people who were paying them; I would hope anyone who does know would consider it none of anyone else's business and keep quiet.
Surely William & Kate are going to have enough time in the public eye, with the world & his dog prying & commenting on every move they make, that they ought be able to at least have their honeymoon location secret until after they return.
Still, we're close enough to Easter for the 30 pieces of silver to still be on the table, I suppose.

They won't be there... Wills made a comment about a honeymoon... like every famous person makes a comment about how perfect "X" is... (insert town name) if they visit or play there.
It's like Oprhay saying she'd love to live in Australia!

Yet an other London newspaper has announced the betting is in Favour of Lizard Island for the royal couples honeymoon.
Three destinations have been most talked about for the royal honeymoon. One newspaper this week declared it would take place on Lizard Island off the coast of Queensland. It even specified that the couple would fly first class on British Airways. But that claim is weakened by the fact that the airline last flew to the "Sunshine State" over a decade ago. The necessary flight connection in Dubai, Hong Kong or Singapore would add immense complexity to the security operation as well as offering free publicity to Cathay Pacific, Emirates or Qantas, rather than a UK airline.
Caribbean islands are tempting, and Bequia, Mustique and Necker Island have the benefit of being easily secured. But the weather rules them out, with the storm season cooking up.
In contrast, Mauritius is freshening up at the end of cyclone season, and involves no serious jetlag. However the murder of an Irish tourist on her honeymoon in January will count against the island. Closer to home, the Mediterranean is perfect in the first two weeks of May, making Malta a front runner. But Malta ( really )
Lizard would be a dream for security personnel.
As missgreen has pointed out last year Australia got Oprah.
This year it just might be the Royal Family.
Lets not forget Prince Charles visited Lizard some years ago.
Like father like son.
