Need advice re. Aussie itinerary

We are spending 15 days in Australia next year and need advice on which place to add an extra day. The itinerary is as follows:

Sydney - 3 nights
Port Douglas - 4 nights
Coolangatta - 4 nights
Noosa Heads - 2 nights
Brisbane - 1 night

Our route will be to fly to Cairns first then on to Coolangatta, then to Noosa and on to Brisbane and lastly Sydney before flying back home

We have one extra day to spare. Please give me some advice where I should add an extra day. Suggestions are most welcome.

I would spend that day in Sydney and surrounds. You will need all that and more to see everything and if you have the time then an express train trip to Canberra for the day would be nice.
I live in the hinterland of Coolangatta and if you email me I can give you a lot more information on what is available in that area. I have also lived on the Sunshine Coast and know that area well. Actually come to think of it I have lived in all the areas you are going to!!!

Marina,
While in Port Douglas, please take a fantastic tour with David Armbrust. You can get info at his website anhs.com.au

I agree with the suggestion to try to get to Canberra - it is an interesting city, with our parliament house, National Art Gallery and the new National Museum, which is worth the visit.
If you need info on Brisbane, Port Douglas or Canberra, please email me on [email protected]

Spend the extra day in Sydney. There's so much to do. Book a day tour with Wendt on Tours - they are a classy tour group, very small groups, and do a number of trips around the Syndey area.

[email protected] for a brochure. We spent one day with them in the Hunter Valley, and a 1/2 day at the Olympic site.
