Help ---having trouble booking Tiger Airways . Suggestions?
Hello again. I'm hoping someone knows the reason the Tiger Airways website will not accept any of my credit cards (which are all good). I have booked all my other domestic air travel with no problem. The website does not have any way to contact them other than by phone and the price on the website is discounted by quite a bit compared to the price on the phone. My credit card is US and somehow it just doesn't work. Any ideas?

Yes Mel is right, for they initially took bookings against CCs but noticed myself when looking at flights that they now do debit only.
Just another budget airline looking out for their budget to keep prices low.

Thanks again----Used my debit card (had trouble getting it to work but got it done finally) so I have all the air travel booked! Back to working on accomodations (will leave part of the trip open (Bushranger) for whatever suits our fancy at the time.
Hope to see you both in Aust or NZ or on the next thread!
Thanks for everything again and again.....

No problems with the help lynnie and have a great trip, there being some days no doubt you might feel a bit exhausted and my rule of thumb when a bit that way is usually "will it make a world of difference if I miss that and settle back for a few hours somewhere to relax with a coffee/beer etc. and enjoy just being somewhere" .

Should mention tooo that Tiger are very definite on cut off time re booking in, quite possibly because to keep costs down, check in staff double up at other duties.
Even if there is a queue of people at their counter, come 45 minutes before flight time, that's it!, sorry folks, you came too late - a chap was in a queue behind me once with his son and Gf, they being ones going on the flight and he told me they had been there the day before and missed out, no refund, no alternative flight and he had to purchase new tickets for them.
The only times I've known them to make exceptions has been when flight is not on time or they have had a hiccup with their ticketing system computers.
They are also right on to charging for excess baggage too, and weighing/tagging carryons, so if you've got a little extra, good idea to wear any heavier garments at checkin and have a coat with deep pockets.
