Driving directions from Bayeaux to Chinon

My husband and I am picking up a car Rouen and driving to Bayeaux. Can anyone advise the best way to drive to Chinon from Rouen and approximately how long by car.

Thanks Lucy

Methinks you've posted in the wrong forum Lucy84.

Ah, I see you're new to Fodor's. This is the South Pacific forum, I suggest you post in the Europe forum.

Colour me confused. Bayeaux is about 2 hours west of Rouen, Chinon is about 3 1/2 to 4 hours south of Rouen. Do you mean you are going from Rouen to Bayeaux to Chinon?

Apple maps, Google maps (and others) can suggest routes and times. As others have suggested, the denizens of the Europe forum can no doubt provide some specifically more helpful advice.

Yes I posted to the wrong forum and yes I do intend going from Rouen to Bayeaux and then from Bayeaux to Chinon.

I was hoping I could by pass Rouen when driving to Chinon

thank you

Not to be unhelpful but have you actually looked at a map? If driving from Bayeaux to Chinon (assuming these places are where I think they are) you wouldn't go anywhere near Rouen. From Bayeux, take the ring road around Caen and then head south towards Le Mans
