Bora Bora Pearl Beach VS Vahine Island

For those of you who have stayed at Bora Bora Pearl Beach, can you offer advice/opinions/comparisons to Vahine Island resort off Ta'haa?

My fiance and I are booking the last 3 nights of our honeymoon in Oct., and have been quoted great rates to stay 3 final nights in a garden pool suite at BB Pearl Beach *OR* 3 nights beach bungalow at Vahine Island.

Are the plunge pools at Pearl Beach BB "all that"? Is there a need for reef shoes at the Pearl Beach, as there is for Vahine island?

All in all, as honeymooners on a budget, which resort would you say could provide us with 3 final romantic, beautiful, breathtakingly nights? (since we can't afford Le Meridian or OWBs, and such).

(Oh, and our first 7 nights will be spent at the decidedly less luxurious Club Bali Hai OWB on Moorea- we'll have fun there!)

many, many thanks....
lynne & joel
