Zuji.com.au
This website (owned by several airlines including Qantas & Cathay) has some great prices for air tickets & hotel accommodation. They do not charge credit card commission and rival travel.com.au for great domestic & international flights. They also are far more efficient than travel.com & do not charge as hefty penalties for flight cancellations & changes as the other crowd! Will post this on Asia board as I've just picked up a great fare to BKK in Dec 2005. Only $17 more than Dec 2004!

Well, Lyndie, I'm glad you found Zuji helpful. Perhaps I'll give it another try.
My previous experience with it has been poor, website awkward, and prices nowhere near as good. I'd hate to think this was just a commercial, Lyndie |
Hi margo-yep I get $US1000 per plug and a free air ticket-give me a break will ya?
What websites have you used in the past? Who would you recommend? because so far zuji has been great, easy to use, their staff on the phone have been very helpful. I just can't complain! Not so travel.com. They even emailed me once and abused me for complaining about their credit card commission charges! even though they did not tell me they would charge me, when I booked!!! Flight centre does not have a website for international searches, travel.com want $150 non-refundable deposit at time of booking and their staff can be very rude. Zuji has emailed me my trip city destination info, they have done everything I've requested them to do and have charged we nothing but my airfare! The same priced fare is on travel.com and wanted you to know I do not purchase air tickets until I've shopped around, girl. I've been to every continent over the past 8 years and know a little about booking on-line. I don't give a hoot who I book through as long as I don't pay more than is necessary. Have fun & let me know how you go about this fun past-time! |
We used www.travel.com.au recently for international flights and travel insurance and thought they were good - the best price I could find anywhere and easy to use website. Everything dealt with promptly. So far, so good!

Hi, Lyndie!
Thanks for the tip about zuji.... I had never jeard of them until now, but I had a look after your recommendation, and it seems they have some interesting fares. I usually look first at www.bestflights.com.au, but I notice that this week that fare to San Jose is $AUD111 cheaper at Zuji (however, their availability is zero). Actually, I use these sites purely to alert myself to what's on offer -- I have never actually bought anything from any of them, but every now and then I see something (such as last year's Mumbai fare) that is just too good to pass up, so, armed with the best internet price, I rush down to the Flight Centre and let them beat it by $20. This has never failed me yet -- but it would be interesting to see what they could do with Zuji's fares! Great to hear from you again! Have you forgiven me yet for Afonzos? (Actually, I thought the beds were great.... maybe you were shown a different room!) |
Kay-glad you got a good deal via travel.com. As for their insurance policy-they get a hefty commission from QBE so you made them very happy, I'm sure. I sincerely hope they don't get your address wrong and send your tickets to the wrong place. That really got up my nose! Anyway hope all goes well for you.
Alan I LOVED afonso's-hated their beds, but the place was great and the people who own it were lovely. Just hated the beds...did I tell you that! Yes, flight centre's price guarantee is very good, however there is not one closeby to me so I always book on the net. Gulf's $599 plus tax to Singapore in Feb was the bargain of my year, so far. I still reckon Syd/BKK then book from there can be the cheapest way for us Aussies. Have fun & nice to chat! |
Anyone ever used family and friends RCI? It seems they have bargains but need to know a member. If it is great I may be able to convince a family member to sign up so I can join but need evidence to support my case! I have gone to Zuji many times because ninemsn is my home page and they seem to link there often. Doesn't look bad but have not used them yet. |
