wotif.com
Wotif.com seems like a really great site. However, one can only book 2 weeks ahead. Since our trip is 3 weeks in duration, how can I book the latter 1/3rd of our hotel rooms? Are folks using wotif.com from internet cafe's when they're already in Australia?
Thanks, Dave. |
I have used wotif.com many many times and have always had good experiences.
You should have no problems at all accessing the site from internet cafes. Good luck and enjoy your holiday. |
My last trip to Australia, I booked the first three nights with wotif.com and then used the net to book the remainder of the trip. To expedite the process I researched hotels ahead of time (the same hotels tend to crop up), so I had a list of possibilities prior to departure. My first day in Sydney, while waiting for my room to be available, I checked out several and was able to eliminate many based on location and outside appearance.
If you can't find what you need on wotif.com, also consider needitnow.com. au. and hotelcub.net. Many hotels list on multiple websites and they restrict the number of rooms they give to any one site. Therefore, a room or rate that is unavailable on wotif.com may be available at hotelclub or needitnow. Internet cafes are plentiful, so you should have no trouble finding one. I generally found them by simply walking down the street. Many hotels have them, also, and of course there's always Kinkos, which is expensive but may be more convenient. Good luck, and have a wonderful time in Australia. |
Wow, I didn't know about those other hotel sites. Thanks for the links!
Hopefully they have internet cafes in further out places, like Darwin. Thanks, Dave. |
Anywhere you find large concentrations of backpackers (like Darwin) you'll find Internet cafes.
