Woman Travelling Alone in South-East Asia

It's me again. I have a hundred questions, but I'll only post a few!

I am travelling by myself to South-East Asia - from Bangkok to Bali. Is it uncommon for people there (especially women) to travel alone? Any advice?

Yvette--It's an old message and you may have already gone and returned. I've traveled all over Asia without any problem.

Hi, I'm Paul from Jakarta, Indonesia. I don't know the custom in other countries about woman traveling alone, but here in Indonesia for tourists, it's not that strict. But for me, my personal opinion, I think you should put the safety as your priority.

I, myself, plan to go to Bali in near time, I haven't decided yet, coz still finishing the work, but it would be around this or next month. Maybe we could arrange something while in Bali and then after a week there I suppose to be in Jakarta again. If you're interested to come to Jakarta, just drop me mail, maybe at least I could show you the city for a while.

That's it for now.
Regards,
Paul

I have traveled alone all over SE Asia and had no problems. Just use common sense and you'll be fine. Happy travels.
