Will I be able to see Jim Jim and Twin Falls in December?

Hi

I know that as December is the start of the rainy season, some Kakadu tours change their tours slightly. The falls are my main reason for going to Darwin, so will I be able to visit them? Will the trip to Darwin still be worth it?

Thanks in advance

Sonia

I think its best at that time of year and yes you should be able to get to Jim JIm and Twin falls etc etc.

PS
You will find many more reasons to be there than just the falls though!!

Hi Liz

Thanks. The reason I asked was because many of the tour companies seem to stop about November or change the trip slightly excluding the falls. Are there any companies that continue through the wet season?

Thanks for your help.

Sonia

You will see that I have answered this on another of your posts. If its raining then they do change where they go slightly. Some areas have sealed roads to them and therefore there is not a problem whilst others are dirt and thats why you need a 4WD. It is not right into the rainy season anyway and I would say that those who only go up to November are just having their yearly holidays off then. Some people in the NT spend time down south with relatives in the wet, or around Christmas time. Whatever time of year there is always something to do. I enjoyed the Northern Territory when I lived there for a year. Don't know that I could live there for ever though but I have visited since and it still amazes me.
