Which Sydney Hotel???

Ok, I know this is NOT at all a very narrowed down list of hotels, but I am very overwhelmed with all the choices of hotels in Sydney. Unfortunatly, it has been harder than I thought finding hotels that can accomodate a family of four in one room since two rooms will be too expensive and not to mention I don't want to call from the US all the way to OZ long distance. So heres my list of considerations: Novotel Darling Harbour, All Seasons Premier Menzies, Sydney Marriott, Grand Mecure Apartments, Southern Cross Towers (is this owned by CLarion?) Avillion Hotel, and the Sir Stamford Circular Quay which would definetly be my pick if I could just find out if one room can hold four people! SO please help, I'm so confused!

i stayed in a "family room" at the harbour rocks hotel in january. the room was pretty spacious. it had a queen bed and 2 singles. i think the rate was AU$140 so it was really reasonable. hope this helps!

It has been five years ago and it was a Ritz Carlton back then, but my pick would be the Sir Stamford at Circular Quay. The rooms were spectacular and the location can not be beat! The service and food were phenominal but I do not know if that has translated to the new ownership. Best of luck--Sydney is an amazing city!

Jen. My brother calls me all the time from the US and talks for hours. Says it only costs him something like 15cents a minute. Check rates with your carrier or look for an override service. By the way our rates back to the US are very good as well.

Jen, check out these hotels on www.tourism.nsw.gov.au Most hotels here have an email address so you can email and ask about a family room. You can also look for others within your price range. Also have a look at http://sydney.citysearch.com.au/Sydney/Weekends_Away/ OR http://www.travel.fairfax.com.au/52weekends/ There may be something else here to interest you. Also, for the latest deals (maybe you could afford 2 rooms), it may worth looking at www.travel.com.au
