When are you Leaving for Australia?

Hello! This board seems a bit slow lately so let's find out who's here!

lynette Nov 30th, 2002 10:47 AM

We're leaving late May and staying two weeks. Our first week will be in Brisbane at a Rotary International Conference and the second week will be in Cairns/Port Douglas area. This is my first trip to Oz, my hubbys second.
Your turn!

hey lynette,
I guess it is just you and I replying. so I will tell everyone that we too are leaving for the first time to oz. Starting out in Sydney and ending up in port douglas with a stop for the rotary convention in the middle as well as Alice Springs and Ayers Rock. Lynette I am not boring you with my itnerary but in case anyone else out there is interested I thought I would let them know. I just emailed you so you will probably get that before this. Tell greg hello.

Hi Lynette,
I leave the day after Christmas (Boxing Day). This will be my 2nd trip & I will be staying for 3 weeks. I'm staying with friends that I met on the internet 3 years ago. We're planning on doing more this time since everyone will be on holiday. I can't wait for warm weather & wearing shorts & sandals again. And I'm looking forward to my friends trying to get me to eat Vegemite.
Sandi

Poor Sandi, vegemite is such an acquired taste ( yes I like it on very fresh bread with butter) and I understand how people would balk at eating it though. A bit like me when I tried grits in the US.
However I am making it a requirement now that anyone coming to Australia PLEASE BRING RAIN!!!!!!!

Sandy Dec 2nd, 2002 01:58 PM

4 of us are coming the first of February, cruising 2 weeks in NZ, then Tasmania, Melbourne and Sydney! First time for all of us!

We'll be in Sydney for New Year's, and will spend a week. Then, after 2 1/2 weeks in New Zealand, we'll be back for another week before returning home [Long Island] Can't wait!

Helen Dec 7th, 2002 10:42 AM

We are leaving on February 25! Still working out the itinerary but we are starting in Tasmania then Melbourne, Sydney, and somewhere in Queensland to see the GBR. Can't wait!!

Pat Dec 11th, 2002 07:31 AM

We leave in 10 days! Staying in Sydney for almost 3 weeks, then flying to Melbourne to meet a friend for 2 nights.

Doing my best rain dance, but unofrtunately it's made it rain here in Western Canada. I hope the bush fires abate for the sake of the residents.

Can't wait for some sunshine this Christmas.
