What airlines fly into Sydney and Auckland?

Looking at a cruise from Sydney to Auckland and need to research flights. Besides Quantas and Air New Zealand, are there any other airlines? I'm trying to use F.F. miles on a US airline to upgrade to business but neither of these airlines allow upgrades using someone elses F.F. miles. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Traveller - at present, Qantas and ANZ are your main options, but Aerolineas Argentina flies to Auckland and back some days.

It's only a 3-hour flight - so business class is not so desperate!

Qantas is an air partner with American and Air New Zealand is a partner with United.

While Qantas and Air New Zealand are partners with American carriers each has their own rules/regulations as regards upgrades.

I would check with American or United and see if they can handle the booking on their respective partners and possibly allow you to use the FF miles for upgrades - "that's possibly" only, though it's not likely. The most you'll get is just the free economy flight, but try it, you won't know unless you ask.

the only way to get an upgrade using someone else's points (on United and American, at least) is to have them book and pay for the ticket, but put your name as the passenger.

Thai Airlines also fly SYD-AUK and they are a member of Star Alliance just like Air NZ, etc.
