Waiheke Island

My DH & I are looking to spend a day on Waiheke Island on Easter. Is it recommended to take a wine/island tour, or better to just go it on our own via bus or taxi? Also, what wineries are recommended? I've heard Mudbrick and Stoneridge have good wines & are good lunch places. Thanks!

Hi Angela,

I would definately recommend taking a wine tour - I used Ananada Tours, who arrived promply at our rental cottage and gave us a very good tour, including lunch at Mudbrick. (additional cost for the lunch, as you're ordering off the menu). The lunch was awesome and you can't beat the view, the beautiful grounds, and of course, the wine!

Hope this is helpful!
