The trip was late last year - we had an amazing trip. We loved Sydney and had a great tour of the Opera House and got to hear a harpsichord practicing in the main hall. VIP tour of the Zoo was magical - got to be upfront and personal with Marsupials of all kinds, Koala with her little one, and even saw the hyper platypus making his rounds in the dark aquarium. Manly beach was nice and warm. Awesome Chinese garden crawling with iguanas! Ate at so many great places including Anison (turkish) and Meat+Wine. The we took a flight and landed in Uluru we had 2 full days and nights there which was the perfect amount of time - I agree that 3 days is probably a bit much. We were able to have stunning views of Uluru and Kata Tjuta at sunrise/sunset and hiked around both, loved the hike around Uluru, met some nice folk on the stroll and wore the nets with about a thousand flies on us. It's a truly odd, sacred place. Then we flew to the NE coast (Cairns), where we were poolside most days, in addition to 2 boat trips to various reefs, snorkeled around some vibrant coral including an amazing one that was maybe 100' tall like a massive coral column! Took a nice car ride inland around Atherton saw some great waterfalls, the ancient fig tree, Mt. Uncle distillery, Bird Sanctuary, etc. Took a ride north to Daintree. We loved Australia and everything we did there - It was a really wonderful trip. Thanks to all for helping us plan it out perfectly!
