Trekking in Thailand - Mae Sot & Umphang
 

We are looking for critics who have been to these areas. We plan to spend only a day in Mae Sot and then travel to Umphang for some trekking on foot and on elephant; we also plan to do some river rafting. We enjoy camping but want to travel very light, can we get away with just the bare necessitities. We hope to avoid packing food and water. Any and all suggestions are welcom.
