Traveling to OZ & NZ

I'm going to be traveling to OZ & NZ. Mainly Qld (Brisbane) Aussie, & the Auckland area of NZ, any suggestions on where to go? I'm planning to hit the West coast beaches, but any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanx.

I don't know Brisbane all that well but if I was going there for a few days I would spend sometime on a ferry trip along the river, sip coffee in one of the many riverside cafes and go on a walking tour of the historic buildings in the city. If you like theme parks and (mostly) busy beaches, its not far to the Gold Coast.

Can't help with Auckland I'm afraid.
Have fun

West coast beaches of which country?

Just for the record there are some wonderful and quiet beaches and swimming areas in and around the Gold Coast. You have a choice of going to a busy one within walking distance to shops and restaurants OR to a quiet one without a person in sight!

West Coast beaches of NZ (the North Island)

There is just so much to see and do, Brisbane in my opinion ranks and easy No.1 as the best! Great food, cafes, shopping, the River, shows, the people are seriously very very friendly, plus Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast, try and get up to Noosa for a few days, or you can just hop along the coast southwards. Great place!

Unless you are a surfie in which case this is where you'll be the west coast beaches are the least attractive for swimming and also can be highly dangerous with rips. They also have black sand. The beaches on the east coast are better by far, there are city beaches on Auckland's coastline or others up and down the coast of the North Island. Depends how far from Auckland you intend travelling.
