Travel Visa?
My sister and I are traveling throughout Australia and New Zealand for about three weeks. Do we need a travel visa for this short period of time? We saw one web site that stated, "no travel visa is required for a stay less than 30 days;" is that true? Thank you!

Depends on where you're from as Toucan2 mentions...
If you're American, no visa needed for NZ (as a visitor). Visa required for Australia - you can obtain one online - only takes a few minutes and about $25.

You can apply for an electronic visa here - I've used the service several times and it works great:

Not a visa, but you have to pay a departure fee in order to leave NZ. So, OZ gets you with the visa fee in order to get in -- and NZ gets you with the departure fee in order to get out.
Hmmm, maybe I should have just stayed ...
