Transportation from Sydney Airport to Four Seasons

I've just reserved a limo for four of us in January from the airport to the Four Seasons. The price will be $132, which is fine with me, since we will be splitting it with the other couple. It would be a nice treat to start our vacation. We are using Omni Car. Does anyone have any reasons not to use this company?

Fine by me.

Hey - if you got that sort of money, go for it.

I can't find any reviews about them. I guess if there's a problem then it's not far in a taxi. If you do end up needing a taxi, then Silver Service is a nice company. Cleaner, better maintained cabs.

For what it's worth, I agree that it's a nice way to start your trip. I don't understand why some people on Fodor's think that everyone who travels is doing so on a rock bottom budget.

And sometimes a fixed price limo can be cheaper than a taxi. Heavy traffic can add $$ to a taxi fare, but has no effect on a limo price. And they're clean, reliable & the drivers always know where they are going.

I agree with you Cathie. I'm never looking for ways to burn unnecessary $s either, but there is no way on gods green earth that I would come off a 20+ hour flight & schlep my bags out of the airport to another railway station to save sixpence ( or $10) when I've paid $$$ in airfares. $40 -$50 in a cab to the CBD hotel door is $ well spent for me.

OTOH, on a nice day, when I'm just going interstate with a little cabin bag or less, I'm quite happy to take a bus, ferry & train to the airport & back home if I'm flying at a civilized hour.

Horses & courses.

Yes, that is what I was thinking too. We are going to be exhausted with a lot of luggage for a three week vacation after three flights from the States. We'd need two taxis with all our luggage and certainly don't want to try to carry them all on a train. In the grand scheme of things, the amount is a drop in the bucket for this "bucket list" retirement trip. I was wondering if anyone knew a reason not to use this company. I haven't been able to find any negative reviews.

The post has been removed on the given link. However, as per the topic of the conversation here, hiring a limo is fine, although I'd personally hire a smaller one like Caprice or something. the chauffeur company I use normally, they charge around $60-$80 from Syd AP to CBD.. saves me the headache of finding a taxi,,lol,,

I checked into them, for the four of us with luggage we'd need a larger vehicle, but thanks!
