Tour operators

Hello, my husband & I and another couple wish to go to Australia and/or Australia and New Zealand . We are looking for tour companies where we can have a small group or a private tour, seeing some high points. We have found a cruise where we can leave Sydney and go through the South Pacific to Honolulu. We want something besides OAT which I find extremely expensive and you never know what hotels you will be staying at, until you book the trip. Anybody???Anything at all???
Thank you in advance,
Jean

I haven't done a tour in Australia for a long time but you could try looking at the websites for these companies. These companies are all well known here in Australia but there would be lots of smaller companies as well if you do some research online. Also sometimes you can put together a couple of short tours, 3 days here and 2 days there and do a bit on your own in between, if you can't find exactly what you want.

We took a Blue Diamond Tour while in Sydney:

These tours are family owned & operated. They take small groups with personalized service. Our experience was great! We took the Blue Diamond Tour to the Blue Mountains. I wish we had done the Red Diamond Tour, too.

I highly recommend you contact Down Under Answers, and Qantas Vacations, they both offer excellent small group vacations Down Under.

Aren't Australian Pacific and AAT Kings one company now?

AAT Kings is usually "whoa, that's a SERIOUSLY BIG BUS" type tour.
